DR. JONG LEE | CPA, EA, DBA, CFF
Dr. Jong Lee is the company’s founder and president. It was his vision to build an accounting firm that served all of the financial needs of the client: individuals, nonprofits, and small-medium sized businesses. That vision became a reality in 1977 when, after several years of experience working in local accounting firms, Jong introduced the J.H. Lee Accountancy Corporation which later became The Lee Accountancy Group. Jong’s vision of acting as an advisor more than an accountant is shown through his efforts to help clients with their entire financial life cycle.
Jong is a CPA, EA, DBA, CFF with an MBA in Taxation from Golden Gate University and a DBA (Doctorate of Business Administration) in Management from Argosy University. His strong belief in education shows with his ongoing teaching of college level courses. In addition, he is an experienced business coach and seminar leader, excelling in cross-cultural business training and teaching certified programs such as Wayne State University’s “Starting a Profitable Small Business” and “Running a Profitable Small Business.”
Jong firmly believes that small businesses have an obligation to be involved in their communities. He has shown this through his role as Commissioner for the California State Office of Economic Opportunity, the San Francisco Asian Art Museum, and Economic Development Commission for the City of Oakland. For Jong’s philanthropic efforts to the Oakland community, Former Mayor Jerry Brown proclaimed March 5, 2004 as Dr. Jong Lee Day.
